I was born in London and moved to India with my parents after primary school. I graduated from Benares Hindu University in Varanasi, India. I specialized initially as a psychiatrist and worked in in psychiatry in India, Nepal, England, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. I then transferred to General Practice and have worked in the field of General Practice in Scotland (Shetland and the Highlands) and in Wairoa, Hawke’s Hay before moving to Mana Medical Centre in November 2023.

As my medical background indicates I have a strong interest in mental health and have completed a Masters in Mental Health Policy and Planning from the New University of Lisbon / World Health Organization and a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians/Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland).

I love walking around Porirua with my family and getting to know this lovely city.
