Nurse Prescriber

We would like to introduce Maggie Davies to our team and we are very excited that Maggie is a nurse prescriber.
Maggie qualified as a nurse in 1986 in the UK. She has been in Primary Health Care for over 30 years and completed a Master of Nursing Degree in 2017. She is a designated nurse prescriber with Nursing Council of New Zealand.

So what does this mean for our community – Maggie is able to run her own clinic where she can see patients and prescribe medications for simple infection treatment, oral contraception, some blood pressure and diabetes treatments and asthma reviews.

If you would like to make an appointment to see Maggie for the above ailments, please call reception to book into her Thursday nurse clinic. An charge for this service does apply.
