Travel Clinic

ENSURING SAFE AND HEALTHY TRAVEL

The only authorised Yellow Fever Clinic covering the Mana/Kapiti area.

Are you planning a holiday or considering overseas travel?

Then you need to visit the travel clinic at Mana Medical Centre.

Our aim is to encourage and promote safe and healthy travel, so you are free to enjoy your overseas experience. Your health and safety are important to us, which is why we invest our time reviewing your travel plans and providing practical advice, so you have the knowledge to travel safely, and most importantly, remain healthy.

Founded in 2002 by Drs Vic Allcock and Mike Lyons, the clinic has continued to grow, and as you would expect, has been extremely busy in a post-pandemic world. To meet this increase in demand, we now have five designated members of staff able to review your travel itinerary, and assess your individual travel needs.

All our travel clinic staff hold post-graduate qualifications in Travel Medicine and use a range of internationally renowned travel medicine research sources to ensure the advice they provide is the most up to date available.

Our staff will provide you with a comprehensive assessment based on your individual travel needs and medical requirements avoiding the ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Our clinic is the only authorised Yellow Fever Clinic servicing the Mana/Kapiti area, but we are happy to see you wherever you are from, whether you are registered with Mana Medical Centre or not.

Please contact the clinic as early as possible before your departure, ideally at least four to six weeks prior to leaving New Zealand. This guarantees we can process your request , offer you an appointment and ensure that you have the time to receive any vaccinations as recommended.

Please complete the pre-travel form by clicking here or you can collect a travel pack from our reception staff. Please complete a separate form for each person travelling and email it to travel@manamedical.co.nz or drop it back to reception. Once received, our staff will complete your pre-travel assessment (which may take up to 5 working days) and then contact you to arrange an appointment.

Let’s work together to make sure you have a great journey.
