I completed my medical training in the United States at Baylor College of Medicine and have been a board certified family practitioner since 2002. I moved to New Zealand with my then 16-year-old daughter in 2014 on a one year work visa. We decided to make New Zealand our home and I completed the qualification of Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2019.
I enjoy working with patients dealing with both acute and chronic medical issues and supporting patients in pursuing good health. I feel the patient-physician relationship is corroborative and should empower the patient in managing their health. I strive to provide a safe environment for people from all communities.
I am a keen tramper and love to escape into the mountains of New Zealand.
